Assessment of Proposed MSW Treatment Plant
PROJECT SUMMARY
The
proposed project is to construct/install, operate and
maintain a 1,000 ton/day municipal solid waste (MSW)
treatment plant in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Abuja City. The proposed plant is based on the
bio-conversion technology of the organic component,
which can be converted to organic fertilizer. The non
organic components of the wastes will be sorted out and
separated into their original classification and
recycled, or utilized as the situation requires.
Furthermore, organic fertilizer and electricity will be
generated as by-products.

conducted by EEMS Limited covered the following areas:
